Tryouts/Off Season Conditioning

Tryouts –  Updated June 17th, 2024

In order to condition/tryout for ANY team students must: 

  1. Complete and turn in the Physical Packet. 
  1. Turn in certificates for 3 NFHS Courses. Click here for more information. 
  1. Turn in all forms to the Athletic Office (Room 166) during your lunch time. 
  1. Purchase insurance – instructions given after paperwork is turned in. 
  1. Freshman and those new to athletics must turn in a copy of their birth certificate. 

Fall sports – Bowling, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Swimming and Girls Volleyball.  

Football practice begins on Monday July 29th.  JV will have practice from 9:30 – 11:30 AM Monday through Friday from July 29th through August 9th

Girls Volleyball tryouts will be on Monday July 29th and Tuesday July 30th.  Try out times will be from 9:00 – 11:30 AM. 

Golf tryouts will be Tuesday July 30th and Thursday August 1st at Palmetto Golf Course starting at 9:30 AM. 

Cross Country will begin Monday August 5th on the Coral Reef Track 7:30 – 9:30 AM.  Practice will be Monday through Friday. 

Swimming tryouts will be on Monday August 12th and Tuesday August 13th at Cutler Bay Pool from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.   

Bowling tryouts will be after school starts, your student will need to listen to the announcements made in the morning and at the end of school each day.

Winter sports – Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Wrestling. 

Boys and Girls Soccer tryouts will be Monday October 14th.   

Boys and Girls Basketball tryouts will be Monday October 28th

Boys and Girls Wrestling will have tryouts in late October/early November.  Date will be announced once FHSAA publishes the allowable start date. 

Spring sports – Badminton, Baseball, Flag Football, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Softball, Tennis, Track, Volleyball – Boys. 

Tryout information will be announced at a later date. 

Off Season Conditioning

Current students you need to check Coral Reef Social Media accounts regularly for the most up to date information. 

Incoming students and new athletes, please email the coach of the sport you are interested in, so that you can be made aware of things you can do on your own to help prepare for when we tryouts occur.  Several sports will be holding team conditioning sessions.
