Hi Cudas! I am Kara Gonzalez, and I am very proud to be part of Coral Reef’s Student Services Team as your Trust Counselor. You are welcome to find me any time in office 47, email me at, or call me at (305) 232-2044, extension 2548.

The Trust (To  Reach  Ultimate Success Together) Program is a comprehensive student assistance program designed to provide prevention, intervention, referral, and follow-up services to students and their families who may be experiencing mental health issues, substance abuse and other self-defeating behaviors.

As the Trust Specialist, I assist students with behavior, mental health and social issues that directly impact learning and development. The TRUST Program focuses on interpersonal relationships, social-emotional skills, school safety and substance abuse. These issues can interfere with the individual student’s success and well-being, as well as directly impact the school environment and climate.

I am also Coral Reef’s Safe Network Liaison and the sponsor of the Mental Health Awareness Club.
